Challenges for the pilots, challenges for Michelin.
Splashes of water, leaps with strong impacts, sand or gravel surfaces, high temperatures, snow and ice, different cars, different regulations. Each Rally race defies not only the pilots but mainly Michelin.
Since the first FIA World Rally Championship, organized 40 years ago, Michelin has accumulated experience and expertise in the development of new technologies to ensure not only better performance of contestants, but mostly their safety.
Then why not incorporate all this acquired knowledge on the manufacturing of ordinary tires? Versatility, durability and safety are the three key words that came out of the world of competition and were taken to the road on asphalt, in the cities. An environment where other demands were required, such as noise and comfort.
So it was from this competitive and challenging universe that led to the main tires of our brand. Always combining seemingly opposing factors such as adherence to the ground and performance, smoothness and durability, safety and speed.
The natural evolution of racing cars also enabled Michelin to be better prepared for the different cargo and passenger vehicles, providing various peculiarities. In addition to the FIA standard, of course!
